Scope

Menai Civil was engaged by Shellharbour Developments to undertake the bulk earthworks and civil works for the Shell Heights residential subdivision.
Comprising 79 residential lots, 1 childcare centre, 3 multi residential lots, an open space park area and a bio-retention basin.

The 82,000m2 site with a slope of over 12% was split into 2 stages with Stage 1A as the construction phase followed by Stage 1B.

Services

The scope of works for this project included the following.

2100m of stormwater pit and pipe installation including 2 GPT units.
Service reticulation including electrical, lighting, gas, communication, sewer and water.
Basin construction including bio-filtration media.
1000m2 of flexible pavement works.
47,000m3 of bulk rock excavation.
115,000m3 of cut-to-fill, including the crushing of rock.
Landscaping including street tree, turfing and fencing.
Kerb and gutters, concrete footpath.
Acoustic wall construction.
